This is a topical patch formulation used for inflammation and pain relief. It includes a combination of active ingredients and specific additives to enhance its effectiveness and adhesion to the skin.

Ingredients: Loxoprofen Sodium Hydrate (56.7 mg per 1g patch for 50mg, 113.4 mg per 2g patch for 100mg), L-menthol, Styrene-isoprene-styrene block copolymer, Polyisobutylene, Saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon resin, Liquid paraffin, Dibutylhydroxytoluene

Directions:

  • Application: Apply 1 patch once a day to the affected area.
  • How to Use: Peel off the backing and apply the patch to clean, dry skin. Ensure the patch is firmly adhered to the skin and leave it on for the recommended period.

Precautions:

  • For External Use Only: Do not apply to broken or irritated skin, including rashes or wounds.
  • Storage: Keep out of reach of children. Store the patch in a cool, dry place at room temperature.
  • Avoid Contact with Eyes or Mucous Membranes: If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.
  • Do Not Apply to Eczema or Dermatitis: Avoid applying to areas of the skin with active inflammation or infection.
  • Allergic Reactions: If you experience irritation, redness, or swelling at the application site, remove the patch immediately and consult a healthcare professional.
  • Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Use only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk, particularly in the second and third trimesters of pregnancy.
  • Discontinue Use: If you experience any adverse reactions like rash, itching, or severe discomfort, discontinue use and consult a doctor.
  • Avoid Overuse: Do not apply more patches than directed. Overuse can increase the risk of side effects.

  • Use Caution in Specific Conditions:

    • Asthma: Use with caution in patients with a history of asthma, particularly those with aspirin-induced asthma, as it may trigger an asthma attack.

    • Skin Conditions: If you have existing skin conditions like eczema or infected skin, avoid using the patch in those areas.

    • Elderly Patients: For those aged 65 and older, be extra cautious about skin reactions and monitor for any adverse effects, as they may be more susceptible.

  • Monitor for Side Effects: Though rare, serious side effects like anaphylaxis (severe allergic reactions), skin rashes, or gastrointestinal discomfort could occur. If any of these happen, remove the patch and consult a doctor immediately.

  • Interactions with Other Medications: If you're using other topical treatments or medications, particularly NSAIDs, consult your healthcare provider before using this patch to avoid any potential drug interactions.

  • Remove the Patch Before Bathing or Showering: To avoid it becoming detached or diluted, remove the patch before entering water and reapply afterward if necessary.

  • Do not use:

    • Individuals with a history of hypersensitivity to the active ingredients: Do not use the patch if you have had an allergic reaction to Loxoprofen Sodium or any other ingredients in the product.

    • Individuals with aspirin-induced asthma or a history of it: This product can potentially trigger an asthma attack.

  • Caution for Specific Patients:

    • Patients with bronchial asthma (excluding aspirin-induced asthma): It may worsen the condition.

    • Patients with skin infections: When using the patch on areas with infection-induced inflammation, ensure the use of appropriate antibiotics or antifungals and closely monitor the condition.

    • Pregnant women: The patch should only be used if the benefits outweigh the risks, particularly during the second and third trimesters. There are reports of adverse effects like fetal ductus arteriosus contraction and kidney problems in the fetus.

    • Children: There have been no clinical trials for pediatric use, so it¡¯s not recommended for children.

    • Elderly patients (65+ years): Skin reactions like irritation or discomfort may be more common in older adults. The side effect rate for those over 65 was found to be higher (3.7% compared to 1.7% in younger patients).

  • Side Effects:

    • Serious side effects: Anaphylaxis or shock (though rare) can occur. Watch out for symptoms like difficulty breathing, skin rashes, and swelling.

    • Other possible side effects:

      • Skin irritation, contact dermatitis, rashes, or itching.

      • Subcutaneous hemorrhage or bruising.

      • Digestive issues such as stomach discomfort, upper abdominal pain, diarrhea, or soft stools.

      • Liver enzyme elevation (AST, ALT, γ-GTP), which could indicate liver issues.

      • Edema (swelling).
